A Clever Design with Interior Style

If you are looking for a design with a side-facing living zone, plenty of style and packed with storage, look no further than Statesman Homes’ Myrtle Alfresco

I've seen a lot of home designs over the years, but there’s always a few that I’ll call my favourites, and Statesman Homes’ Myrtle Alfresco is among them.

Why, you ask? Well, it’s all about the feel in this four-bedroom, two-bathroom, two-living room, plus study, design.

Just take a look at the modern, spacious display at Mt Barker (Bluestone estate) and you’ll see what I mean.

I’m all for a home with lots of natural light and you’ll certainly find it in this home, with lots of large windows and a side-facing living zone that would ideally face the northerly direction. This extended living zone, which has a lounge at one end, and a central kitchen and dining adjacent an alfresco oozes communal living, and it’s this hub that may make you fall in love with this design.

It just feels so spacious, and I have to say, that large island bench and storage galore is a winner... not to mention the kitchen office/study nook that is brilliantly positioned at one end.

The bright and fun colour palette in the Mt Barker Myrtle Alfresco display home also adds a dash of fun, and the friendly feel is another key selling point.

But this home design also works thanks to its flexibility: bedrooms are generous in size, with wardrobes as standard, there’s a separate home theatre to retreat to if the kids are too rowdy, and another space, a dedicated study is now a necessary home inclusion for many full-time workers.

The master suite, containing a walk-in wardrobe and space-efficient ensuite with large windows, is another treat worth taking a look at.

So it’s no wonder this is one of the brand’s most popular designs and Statesman Homes’ design director Ruth Vagnarelli attributes its popularity with young families to the fact it is modern, well designed and also affordable.

“We wanted a really well-designed home that gave families everything they needed for a comfortable life,” she says.

“This design by award-winning architect Max Pritchard is pure genius, he has innovatively managed to fit all this on a 15-metre wide block and it feels so light and spacious.

“This design makes entertaining all year round a breeze, homeowners can entertain family and friends in the undercover alfresco area which flows into the kitchen and meals area.”

With 194.50sqm of living area, the Myrtle Alfresco is a medium-sized home with all the attractive, modern features you’ll want in a brand new home including clean lines, a double garage with internal entry, and high 2.7m ceilings.
